About Patten
Patten Lane is a High School Student from Jackson, Mississippi. Born and raised in The Magnolia State, he feels a deep gratitude for his community and has always made an effort to give back. As a member of the Key Club at his previous school, Patten hoped to introduce something similar to his new school, but was inspired by a new cause after traveling to Europe for the first time.
It was difficult to ignore some of the major lifestyle differences he witnessed on his trip and upon his return home it became even more clear the Mississippians regularly engaged in unhealthy practices. After further investigation it became clear that Mississippi could look much closer for inspiration as it ranks as the least healthy state in the country. No likes being last, so Patten decided to make a stand against detrimental practices and educate people how to make better choices to improve their lives. Patten will be the first to tell you that he has work to do himself. He is currently working on balancing his hobby of playing video games by spending more time practicing lacrosse and competing on his school debate team.
